Gameplay

Faces in the Sand is the fifth showcase script for Homebrews by Luis, showcasing the Mirage and Crawler!

Faces in the Sand ****is a script all about trying to put things together while questioning everything. Many abilities can be bluffed by evil, given multiple explanations, or be surprisingly misleading. Good teams that have lost the thread will find themselves unspooling rapidly, as Evil has various tools to press their advantage or create deadly confusion. The Soul Binder is not required, but you can use it as you wish.

Intermediate. Recommended for players able to weather the storm of disparate information and see through the fog with deadly precision.

When Playing Faces in the Sand…

Good players will need to put together what they know and question heavily what they think they know if they want to win. Most players can trust that their information is true, and drunkenness and poisoning can be quickly identified - however, trying to decipher what one's information means is a significantly harder challenge.

Evil players must sow discord and throw puzzling worlds out if they want to win. With limited misinformation, Evil must instead get Good as tangled up in their lies as possible, turning what could be extremely helpful information into useless or dangerous finger-pointing. Minions can often benefit from bluffing other Minions are in-play or positing wild worlds, taking advantage of the script's offerings of many explanations for strange outcomes.
