Summary:
“You know an alive player: if 1 is executed, they learn you're in play. If 2 are, your team wins.”
The Crawler punishes the town for executing the wrong people.
- The first time that a player that the Crawler knows is executed, their targets learn that the Crawler is in play. The second time, the Crawler’s team wins.
- If the player the Crawler knows dies, they learn a new alive player.
- If 1 of the Crawler’s targets have been executed, all future targets learn that they are in play.
- They only learn that the Crawler is in play, not who it is.
- Only the currently known player is susceptible to the Crawler’s ability. Previously learned players don’t count.
- The known player does not have to die by execution for the Crawler to use their ability.
- It doesn’t matter who nominates known players. If they are executed, it counts.
How to Run:
On the Crawler’s 1st night, wake them and point to an alive player - mark them with the KNOWN reminder.
If a player marked with the KNOWN reminder is executed, mark them with the EXECUTED reminder.
Each night except the first, if the player marked KNOWN has died, wake the Crawler and point to an alive player - mark them with the KNOWN reminder. If a player is marked EXECUTED, wake the KNOWN player and show them the Crawler’s character token.
If a known player is executed, and the EXECUTED reminder is already placed, declare that the game is over and that the Crawler’s team has won.

Tips & Tricks:
- Frame the player you learned as hard as you can! You can’t get your win condition if the town executes you first. Nominate that player yourself if you have to!
- Sit back & watch. You can always learn a new player if the current one dies. Bonus points for making it easier to frame good players as the Crawler if one executes your target.
- Have the Demon kill the player you learned. It's a good way to get a new target if you can’t frame the current one effectively. You have all the time in the world as long as you live.
- If a player learns you are in-play, discredit them. Make good believe they are the Demon faking Crawler. Then execute them & profit.
- Have an evil player claim to learn a Crawler ping. This should make town hesitant to execute you for a few days. You may not even want to execute your targets, so that way you aren’t contradicted by a player learning a real Crawler ping.
- Spread rumours. If a troublesome good player nominates, accuse them of being the Crawler. This should be especially effective once a player learns you are in-play. Make town hesitate where you can.
- If you want to frame an executed player, claim to have learned a Crawler ping. Just be careful about doing this if you really are the Crawler and can still send a real ping...
Fighting the Crawler:
- Don’t read too heavily into nominations. The Crawler doesn’t require an evil player to nominate and they can easily switch targets. Perhaps the Crawler is just waiting while good execute each other.
- Don’t bother relying on self-nominations. The Crawler’s ability activates no matter who nominates the target.
