Summary:

“Once, even if dead, 1 alive evil player may publicly choose a player before nominations: today, good wins if & only if they are executed.”

The Piper directs who should be executed in the final moment.

• Once per game, an alive evil player may publicly choose a player, using the Piper’s ability (so that all players know that they are evil). If good wins by another method (e.g. by executing the Demon), they do not win.
• During the day, if an alive players declares that they are evil and publicly chooses a player, good wins if that player is executed today. If good wins by another method (e.g. by executing the Demon), they do not win. This can only be done before the Storyteller has called for nominations.
• The Piper’s ability works even if they are dead.
• The Piper’s ability can only be used once.
• Any player may claim to use the Piper’s ability.
• Evil players do not have to declare their character or character type to use the Piper’s ability.

How to Run:

Once per game, before you have called for nominations, an alive evil player may publicly declare that they are using the Piper’s ability and choose a player – mark that player with the SCAPEGOAT reminder. Future choices by evil players have no effect.

During that day, if the player marked SCAPEGOAT is executed, the game ends and good wins. If the good team wins by any other way, they do not and the game continues.

Either way, at dusk, the Piper loses their ability – mark them with the NO ABILITY reminder.

<aside> 📌 If a good player claims to use the Piper’s ability, act as if they are doing so. Declare to the group that they have claimed to use the Piper’s ability and pretend to move a reminder token in the Grimoire.

Examples:

<aside> 📖 There are 3 players alive, Alex the Piper, Evin the Ojo, and Ella the Seamstress. Alex declares that he is evil and chooses Ella. The good team ignore him and decide to execute Evin. Good does not win, and because only 2 players live, evil wins.

<aside> 📖 The Alchemist declares that they are evil and chooses the Heretic. When the Heretic is executed, nothing happens because the Alchemist was not evil.
