“Each night, you may choose 2 players (they learn this): they die tomorrow night. Players who offer the most might not die.”
The Bloodwrite makes its victims bid against each other.
- Unlike other Demons, the Bloodwrite acts during the first night, and chooses 2 players as well.
- The players the Bloodwrite chooses, learn this, so they know to give the Storyteller offers or deals.
- Only players chosen by the Bloodwrite the previous night can make deals, and they can be made in public or in private.
- The Storyteller can recommend and suggest changes or tweaks to offers if they seem too good/bad, but only with the consent of the player. Generally, if an offer can be game-ending, the Storyteller should either give it an extra price, or outright deny it.
- Before the Bloodwrite chooses again, the Storyteller may take 1 (and only 1) offer. The player who made the deal doesn’t die and the other player does.
- If either offer isn’t worth it or is too pricey, the Storyteller can choose to kill both players and deny both offers.
- The Bloodwrite can choose evil players to make a deal, but they need to be careful of what they put on the table…
How to Run:
Each night, wake the Bloodwrite. They either shake their head or point at 2 players. Put the Bloodwrite to sleep.
If the Bloodwrite chose 2 players, mark them with CHOSEN reminders. Wake the chosen players individually and show them the THIS CHARACTER SELECTED YOU info token and the Bloodwrite token.
During the day, these players may make private or public offers to the Storyteller.
Each later night, just before waking the Bloodwrite, you can take one of that day’s offers. Act out it out accordingly and mark the successful bidder with the SOLD reminder. Otherwise, they die - Mark the loser (or both players) with the DEAD reminder.

📌 Negotiate with your players! If there’s a deal that you’ll definitely deny, let them know or make a counter.
If you have to, propose extra conditions to an unfair offer. If you can’t make it work, deny it. at night.
If a deal involved that person having to die, consider letting them know that it was taken.
Tir-far’s rule (Optional): Players who offer the most might live (& rise if they were dead).

Tips & Tricks:
- Choose players who you know would give an arm and a leg to stay alive. They’ll most likely make the juiciest deals with the Storyteller and you can get the most out of it.
- Purposely choose players that wouldn’t offer as much - that way, you can kill 2 players.
- Usually, everyone will learn what Demon is in play by Day 1, so either get kills in quickly or abuse the greed of the good team.
- Choose an evil player! You might risk killing a teammate, but depending on what the offer is, it might make the difference.
- Consider that all may not be as it seems. If the players you killed both died, an offer might still have been made, with a terrible price… If so, endeavour to find out what this is. It may just be the arrow to your Achilles’ heel.
- If you have an evil player that wouldn’t mind being outed, make them the door to door salesperson - have them discuss deals with good players who might want to join forces.
Fighting the Bloodwrite:
- You know what deals are going to be made, so use them to your advantage - mould the landscape of the game to your will.
- If you have an ability that you can’t afford to lose, offer an arm and a leg. Maybe even offer up the lives of other players. If you’re a person of high interest for the Demon to kill, who’s to say what the price is?
- Get really creative with your offers. Like super, insane, out-of-this-world creative. Have only 1 night of info to game left? Offer your life in exchange for a night a true info. Being crafty with what you offer can also be an amazing way of throwing the evil team off guard. After all, only you know what the deal really was. If you offer for yourself to die when chosen, both players chosen will die, and so it will look like no offers or deals were accepted. But if you add something to sweeten the deal, such as something along the lines of “but my clockwise Townsfolk neighbour can’t die from now on”, well, your sacrifice would not be made in vain. If you do make deal like this, the Storyteller should typically let you know if it’s taken.
