Summary:
“Townsfolk players that nominate are poisoned until tomorrow dusk. If none do, evil wins. 1 good player learns if you die.”
The Autarch poisons Townsfolk who nominate.
- When a Townsfolk player nominates, they are immediately poisoned for the rest of that day, the next night, and the day after.
- When night falls, if no Townsfolk player made a nomination today, evil wins.
- When the Autarch dies, 1 good player is woken up to learn that the Autarch died.
How to Run:
During the day, if a Townsfolk player made a nomination, they become poisoned - mark them with the POISONED reminder.
Each dawn, swap any POISONED reminders for YESTERDAY reminders. (This shows that they are poisoned but only for today.)
Each dusk, if no Townsfolk player nominated today, the game ends and the evil team wins. Otherwise, remove any YESTERDAY reminders.
If the Autarch dies, that night, wake a good player and show them the Autarch’s character token. Put them to sleep.

📌 You have 5 of the ‘Poisoned’ and ‘Yesterday’ reminders, so if you run out, simply write a note with who’s poisoned.

Tips & Tricks:
- Stay alive! If you die, players will almost certainly deduce that you're evil, and this can be devastating. If your alignment gets outed, then players can start unravelling all of your lies, and might even find the demon. You also lose a lot of vital uncertainty, and depending on how many minions are in play, might confirm a lot of players as good.
- Die early! If you have time, you might be able to convince people that you're being framed by an evil player. This can be a great way to get them killed, and might even clear your name. If you die before players have gotten much false information, it can be hard to prove whether or not this player is telling the truth. Remember that a lot of information pointing to your innocence is that which you can say is perfectly sober, and that the player accusing you is clearly lying!
- Nominate often. You're immune to your own poisoning, and if you claim to trust your info after nominating, it can obfuscate if an Autarch is really in play or not. If players trust you well enough, they might even let the day end with you being the only nomination, giving you a free victory!
- Don't nominate. People will expect the Autarch to nominate as often as they can, to push their agendas on the unsuspecting town, but that's the advantage passivity can give you! Players will usually want to limit how many nominations occur in one day to minimize your poisoning, but if all of those are Townsfolk, there could be very few Townsfolk left each night. Additionally, this can make it harder for players to believe that players saying you're evil are telling the truth, and it can make them more likely to trust you as the only safe player to nominate later in the game.
- The Autarch is a powerful character, and whether or not it's in play will be at the top of discussion for all players, so get in on the action! Saying that there's an Autarch in play can make you trustworthy, but risks weakening the power of your misinfo. Pretending there isn't an Autarch risks making it easier for players to realize you're evil, and may indeed lead to your death, but can create a lot more confusion and make the poisoning you cause even more dangerous
Fighting the Autarch:
- Keep track of who nominates. Players who nominate will be poisoned if an Autarch is in play, and most of the time, won't be if the Autarch isn't. This means that the truth of most info will come down to this one factor, so be prepared to adapt either way! Remember that each day, if the game doesn't end and there's an Autarch in play, one of the players who nominated is a Townsfolk.
- Keep nominations to a minimum, in order to reduce the poisoning the Autarch creates. Be careful, however, as evil players may pretend they are Townsfolk in order to try to win swiftly, or trick good players into being forced to follow their lead.
- Pay attention to info, even if you think it's false. Once it's been revealed to have been an Autarch game this whole time, you need to be able to adapt quickly, and work out what the truth is, now that you now that most of your info is false
